ABOUT ME

Lezlie grew up in rural southwest Arkansas. She was rarely without the company of an animal, whether it be a dog, cat, horse, or baby rabbit the family dog brought to the house.

After she graduated from high school, she moved to the dry lands of West Texas. She moved around the state several times before landing in NW Houston, and discovered Galveston Bay and the water.

In December of 2007, Lezlie climbed aboard a sailboat for the first time, and fell in love. She became friends with the owner of this boat, a cutter-rigged Irwin 41 ketch named Escapades, and crewed for him for about two years.

Lezlie has always enjoyed building things, especially from wood, so it was natural for her to want to build her own boat. Her first attempt was a PDRacer she named iDuck, #396. This is an 8' boat with a cult following, and they are a blast to sail. Her second attempt at boat building, was a Matt Layden design, the Paradox. After the boat was 95% finished, she had the opportunity to leave Kemah, TX and crew on a Tayana 48 cutter rigged sloop. It was decided to sell the Paradox (TARDIS) instead of her collecting dust on the plains of West Texas on a family farm. The perfect person came along and gave her a home, and has loved her and taken her on several adventures. She is with the right person.

You have heard the saying: Jack of all trades, master of none. Lezlie's talents are many, she has been a:

~ Receptionist
~ Milk Maid
~ Barrel Racer
~ Bank Employee
~ Barber
~ Artist
~ Bodybuilder
~ Carpenter
~ Needlepoint Store Clerk
~ Seamstress
~ Assistant Costume Designer
~ Vacuum Cleaner Store Owner
~ Boat Builder
~ Sailor
~ Cashier
~ Accountant

Lezlie landed in Key West, FL, she started a new chapter in her life, loving the sea, sun and island life. She discovered a whole new, beautiful world in the ocean. Learning to dive, lobster, fish… and of course, boat repair.

But, as most adventure do, this came to and end and she moved back to Texas. You know how Texans are, they come back home eventually! Lezlie is adding a new chapter to her book of life. In this chapter, new adventures await!
